Speaker-Sharing Opportunities 2021

UWC Toronto (University Women’s Club Toronto ) invites you to join two Zoom events: 

January 11, 2021, 7 pm – Ian Evans, an accountant from Elora, will speak about the documentary, Lunatic. The documentary deal with how he has made it his life mission to step outside his comfort zone by undertaking adventures such as skiing to the South Pole. 

January 18, 2021, 7 pm – Brian Levine will speak about Glen Gould: The Making of a Canadian Legend. Lovers of classical music will appreciate this event. If you are interested in either or both of these speaker events, you may contact UWC Toronto at info@uwctoronto.ca


In place of the 2021 Women's March, Amelia Rising will be hosting a panel discussion with professionals in the area to discuss the affects of COVID-19 on our community. This event is free and virtual! 

Following the panel discussion there will be an opportunity for Q&A. The floor will be opened up for other community professionals attending to share any affects related to COVID-19 and their organization/ clients.

Join us to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on womxn, girls, families and other vulnerable/ diverse populations in the community. Learn what you can do to support individuals in your community.

Thursday January 21 7:00 PM  CFUW National invites you to a Zoom workshop on succession planning. The session is designed to open dialogue on the difficulty many clubs are having finding members who are willing to take on Club executive positions. There will be a poster and registration link in the January Club Action Newsletter.

Thursday, January 28, Evening Session: National is hosting a town hall discussion on the CFUW Board Decision re the CFUW – GWI Issue, time to be announced, link to be forwarded. All members are invited to attend. Questions during the town hall will be directed through the chatline.
